How can I share a session in OneNote, through a network router?

I have a small home network of three computers, all using my cable internet
through a router. I am unable to start or join a session in OneNote, and I
believe that this may be due to my router.
I understand that to the internet, my network looks like one computer, but
can I change this so they have indiviual IP address?
Or is there another way of getting around this problem.

I have already tried setting the router up to forward all ports to my
computer, but this didn't seem to work.

Thanks hi for the help, Lee

Are you trying to share a session with one of your other two computers or
with somebody out on the Internet?

First question is, where is your other person?
If your other person trying to access your data is somewhere on the
internet, you need to get the IP of your current Internet connection
(generally stated in the router settings) and give that IP to the other
person. If your port forwarding to your computer with onenote on it is
correct you'll have no problems. (port forwarding is for all outside
connections to see your single machine).. make sure window's firewall is
configured correctly too. Since you're behind a router you'll be safe, but
since all ports are going to that machine, youre not... so only open ports
you need.
If your other person is on the same network, you don't need to worry about
the port forwarding... just make sure your windows firewall is correctly
configured, on both machines or turned off... in the network status >
support... get the IP of your machine and type it into the other machine,
and boom! it should work...

Some MVP probably has a link to a better explanation. Thats the best I can
describe.
