Complicated or what!
I have access to another user's calendar on our XP Pro system simply thus:
Create a shortcut to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents, on your
desktop. Rename it 'Shared' (the shortcut, not the original!) or it can get
confusing (Why did MS just name it 'Documents'?)
Click on your calendar icon in Outlook, and drag. You will see it become a
shortcut as you go. Drop it in the new 'Shared' shortcut folder. (If you
already have 'active' items on your desktop and don't mind the way this
looks, you can drop it straight there, otherwise it'll probable play havoc
with the way you like your desktop to look.)
Make another shortcut from the calendar shortcut you've just placed in the
shared folder and drop this on your desktop instead of the active version.
Similarly, make another shared folder shortcut on the other user's desktop.
You will see your calendar shortcut in it. Put a shortcut to this on the
second desktop. (Or of course you can continue selecting it by opening the
shared folder and choosing)
You now have access to your other user's calendar and you can check where
they are supposed to be, and both can add to or modify it as you wish.
In our case, I use Outlook Express, while the other user uses Outlook, so I
have not needed to look into having two or more calendars in the shared
folder at the same time, but for us, this arrangement works fine.
