I have the same outlook files on two computers: a desktop and laptop. About
two weeks ago the desktop began to be very sluggish and/or hangs up requiring
me to go to task manager and exit program. No problems at all on the laptop.
The desktop uses as much as 60,000k of memory and the laptop rarely exceeds
25,000k (the same files are on both computers). I've uninstalled and
reinstalled outook several times on the desktop which has not solved the
problem. I also reinstalled Office 2003 itself - no improvement.
Has someone put a file on my machine and has it been hijacked for spam? If
so what can I do to try and locate and remove the file. Hopefully this is not
the problem, but after a number of years of good performance this is very
troublesome.
I use McAfee and have Windows Defender.
Hope someone can help. Thanks.
