How can I split a single note container into two?

How can I split a single note container into two? I joined two together
previously and want to reverse the process. It's days later: too late for
undo to work.

Select the text you want moved into another container, and then just drag
it out. If you drag far enough, ON should create a new container for the
dragged text. It's basically the opposite action from merging containers
with the mouse, if you think about it.
