How can I stop Outlook from importing email from another account?

Every time I open Outlook it imports all of my emails from my main email
account. Is there any way that I can stop this? I don't want these to be
imported.

Outlook only "imports" if you specifically TELL it to.
You need to describe EXACTLY what happens. Tell us the type of email
account as well.
