How can I transfer an object in word to a background page in visio

I have a corporate logo on a word template and wish to transfer this to a
visio background page. Additionally, I want to make it very light like a
watermark - to affect its opacity.

create the background page, copy from word, paste to the background page,
select the shape, right click, format, transparency (you might look up
transparency in visio help)
