How can I transfer readable files from Adobe to MS Word?

I am trying to transfer an online application from Adobe to MS Word so I can
fill it out and send it back to an employer via email. It lets me open the
file in MS Word but I can't read it, like computer language. How can I make
it readable and fill it out?

You can't open a PDF in Word. Open it in Adobe Reader. If it's a fillable
form, you can fill it out in Reader.

If you cannot fill it out in Adobe Reader, it may let you copy/paste it into
Word. However, sometimes even that isn't possible depending on the
protection applied to the PDF when it was created.

If so, a workaround is to make screen captures of each page, set Word to a
new blank document with the minimum margins your printer accepts, then paste
a page at a time into Word. Save the document - which will be large because
it is all graphics.

Now create floating Text Boxes formatted with no borders and cell padding
over each box you need to fill in. Once you create and format one text box,
you can hold down the Control key and copy it to other locations on the page
with just a little resizing needed. When you have finished, you can use the
COMPRESS utility to minimise the size of the graphics and save it again and
password protect it. Now email it as an attachment.

If you have Word 2007, you can save it as a PDF and email that as an
attachment which is a better solution.
