How can i transfer the macros i have created on 1 PC to another?

Are all the macros that we create during the course of our work transferable
between PCs? If so, would be grateful to someone who tells me how.

Thanks

Your macros are stord in the workbook, so taking that code and moving
it out of the local workbook:

- Store and create your macros in your personal workbook, then copy the
file.
- or share them in a centrally located XLS.
- or create an XLA, that exists on, and is called from, network

It might be helpful if you described what you mean by "our work", what
kind of macros, i.e., recorded or written, as well as how you'd like to
share them.

All? Possibly not. Most? Probably.

It varies by application. Which are you creating macros in?

Dear James,

Thanks a lot for the info. The xl macros are taken care of, now if you could
also help me out with the Word Macros, or maybe macros of other office
applications also (altho have never yet created or needed any).

These are keyboard shortcut macros that i refer to, where we record a
complete action and then give it a name. Are these files, i their turn,
stored somewhere, where we can just copy them in another PC in the same
location for them to funciton?

Thanks

Yash

If the Word macros are not frequently changed, they can be stored as
modules in the Normal.dot file, the default template for word.
Frequent changes might require a somewhat more complicated solution,
although my experience with Word is limited, so I can't easily list
options.
