I have a spreadsheet with names in column A & addresses in column B, exported
from another application. Unfortunately the addresses have been spread over
several rows & the cell containing the name is a merged cell over these rows.
(e.g. A2-A5 is a merged cell containing a name & B2-B5 are separate cells
each containing a line of the address). The addresses can be anything from 1
to 10 lines long.
I'd like to use mail merge to create letters but I don't think it can
identify how many lines make up the address so I've written some formulas to
transpose the correct number of lines into their own columns, which is
workable but not very straight-forward for the person who will be using it.
Is there a function that will provide a better solution?
Thanks
