I want to take some action item only if the user has pressed eneter
for CommandBarComboBox. How can I trap that event.

I know that name of the event is change however the event gets fired
anytime it loses focus. I want to handle it only when user press enter
and not on lost focus.

There is no way to achieve this using the Office object models.
