How can I turn off Entourage read receipts?

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: Exchange

We recently ported from mac mail to Entourage office-wide. Unfortunately one of my colleagues is now getting a read receipt for every email he sends! We have read the FAQ (http://www.entourage.mvps.org/faq_topic/return_receipt.html) posted in other topics about return receipts, and have checked to ensure he doesn't have a header that is causing this to happen (he doesn't have any headers set up). Any suggestions about how we can turn this off for him? We don't think it's to do with our Exchange setup because he's the only one that is having this issue, but if there's something we could check there I'm very open to suggestions!! The only differences between our setup and his are:

1. We are all running on macbooks, and he is on an iMac.
2. He upgraded his Office installation from an older version to 2008, the rest of us did a fresh install of 2008.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Check rules???

I've never heard of database corruption causing this type of problem. You
could test by creating a new Identity, enter account info and let it sync
back up.

What does the receipt message say specifically? Does it say that the
message has been opened and read or does it say the message has been
delivered to the user's mailbox (not the same thing as opened and read)?

If it's confirming delivery to the mailbox then the user may have a
server-side setting enabled for *delivery receipts*. These are not the
same as *read receipts*. It will have to be disabled in Outlook or by
the Exchange admin.

Hope this helps!
