How can I undo changes to multiple Outlook 2007 contacts?

I thought I could drag highlighted contacts into a distribution list,
expecting they would be copied and the originals remain unchanged. Instead,
dozens and dozens were given a new Company Name. It would be painful to
manually identify and edit all affected contacts. Is there no 'undo'
available?
