How can I uninstall office 2003 but leave the mso cache files?

When uninstalling office, I notice the MSO Cache is removed as well. I need
to uninstall office, but the MSO cache needs to remain. Is there a command
line switch I can use? Some other method?

Frankly, Bob, I don't know. I could assume (dangerous, I know) that renaming,
then changing back the MSO cache folder may prevent the situation, but I am
not that far down the river yet.

1) Is the MSO Cache normally removed when office is uninstalled? if so,

2) Is there an accepted uninstall switch which will prevent this?

If the answer to number one is yes, and the answer to number 2 is no, then I
can begin to investigate renaming.

Sorry, I don't know that answer. Why someone would want to do that is
not a normal request. I was merely offering a way to "fool" the removal.

You could also consider copying the entire folder MSOCache on a USB
flash drive so that you can copy it back shuld you need it. Any reason
why you want to keep it if you are removing the main office package?
