How Can I Uninstall Windows Messenger

I'm using MSN Messenger and don't want Windows Messenger to keep putting its
icon in my Systray every time I start Windows. I can't find a way to
uninstall it through Control Panel (It does not appear in the list of
Windows Components,) so I can't uninstall the usual way. And it does not
load from Start > Programs > Startup. So, how can I get rid of it?

You don't have to uninstall it. Just open it, go to Tools, options,
Preferences and uncheck all the options--Start up when Windows Starts...etc.
