How can I uninstall word & excel 97 without the original disk?

Can anyone tell me how to uninstall Word & Excel 97 without the setup disk?
The only article I can find on MS website only describes how to do it with
the disk, which is a bit hard when I don't have it! I'm runing Windows Vista,
thanks!

You can't, not as a pracical matter. You could copy the files from one
machine to another, but the installation script on the product CD (or
diskettes, which could be obtained from MSFT way back then, IIRC)
makes LOTS of entries in the Windows Registry.

Assuming that you still have the project key for Office 97, search
eBay or Craigslist, etc. to find someone selling exactly the same
version Word and Excel 97 as that you lost. If you can find one, you
can use that to reinstall. Or if you have a friend that has the exact
same version, you can copy their disk. Good luck.
