How can I unlock office 2003

I recently had an automatic update. Since the update all my office programs
are locked. I have Office 2003 Professional and have been using it for a few
years without any problem. Whenever I try to type in any program nothing
comes up. Most of the fuctions are grey and are unusable.

Have you checked to see if it appears to have been activated? (I don't know
if if could have been inactivated with an update but it's an easy thing to
check.)
