How can I use an older version of mail merge and trash the 2003 v.

It appears that the 2003 version of mail merge is a real burden and I cannot
add additional fields to the data source once it is established. I'd like to
use the older versions of mail merge as they were MUCH more intuitive, and at
least they worked. Any advice?

I agree it is a real pain in the .... I can't work with the new Wizard.

You can add the 'old' MailMergeHelper' icon to the toolbar. However, the
only thing that doesn't work 'the old way' is that if you want to send the
merged document to e-mail as an attachment; you can check the box, but it
doesn't work; it will send the document in the body of the e-mail. Therefore
I also added the new Mail Merge toolbar; one of the icons is 'Merge to
Email'. There you can choose how you want to send it.
