How can I use "Find (and replace)" to locate an xml tag?

Trying to write a macro in Word 2007 to edit .xml files. How can I use "Find"
to search for a specific xml tag name? It appears that "Find" ignores the tag
names in an xml file when searching.

Why not use a regular text editor. If you need macros then try Ultra Edit or
Edit Plus.

Because it is another piece of software that I would have to buy, and I do
not do enough code editing to see the need for a specialized editor, when
Word 2007 is already supposed to be able to edit XML code.

The better question is why Word's developers apparently overlooked the
capability of searching for tags, even though they included provisions to
display them?

Thanks for the editor suggestions. It looks like I will be purchasing one of
them.

Does the script editor still work in 2007 - ALT+SHIFT+F11? If it does you
can use replace there.

No. ALT+SHIFT+F11 does nothing. Word 2007 Help Search yields no reference to
"script editor".

Yep, it was removed :-(
That also means that code which uses HTMLProject no longer works in 2007.

The more I hear of Word 2007, the more it appears to be the wrong answer to
a question no-one asked :(
