How can I use Outlook on my laptop and access/save messages to my

I have Outlook and store all incoming and outgoing messages on my main
computer. I have a wireless network (from SBC Yahoo-DSL) so that I can use a
laptop to access the internet and I have been able access many of my files on
the main computer from the laptop. When I use Outlook it downloads the
messages into the laptop and therefore they are not saved with all other
messages. Is there a way to be able to use the laptop, run Outlook to
download emails and have them stored in the main computer?

Dear Duncan,

there is a solution but not supported by Microsoft.

As long as Outlook on the main computer is closed, you can work on the
Laptop with the same PST file as on the main computer. You can not work in
the same time on the laptop and on the main computer with the same PSt file
because Outlook can not share the same PST file but as long Outlook is
closed on the main computer, no wouldn´t get any problems.

A help will be this site:
http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/olshare1.htm

but you have 2 computers with 2 profiles.

Another Idea could be to store your PST file on a USB stick and you can
change the stick/PST from one computer to the other.

One thing you can do is to leave copies of the messages on the server so
that when the desktop connects the messages are still there for it to
download.
