Usually, you can press Ctrl+accent followed by the letter you want accented,
and Word will create the accented letter. For example, if I type Ctrl+' e, I
get é. If I type Ctrl+^ o, I get ô. Ctrl+~ n yields ñ. For ö, use
Ctrl+Shift+" o.
