how can i write 2 pg letter without heading appearing twice

I am trying to set up a template to write a 2 page letter or sometime 3 or
more but the letter heading keeps appearing on all the pages not just the
first. How can i create a template without this happening?

In page setup set the option to have a different first page header. Insert
the heading in the first page header only.
