How can team members create a new task in Fixed Duration

When a team member creates a new task through My Task menu the new task added
to the project uses the fixed units logic which results in showing the
resource fully allocated to the task. Is there a possibilty of changing the
logic from fixed units to fixed duration without having to enter projects
plan and manually change it from there? Note that the projects that team
members create new tasks are auto approved.

Hi Christina
There is no method to update the Task Type when creating a new task through
PWA to my knowledge
This has to be done by the Project Manager in Project Professional.
By default there is a workflow associated when a Resource creates new task.
It has to be approved/rejected by the PM
