We just converted from Access 97 to Windows 2000 and the access 97 files had
to be converted, and all went well, except one item. In the forms for input,
I used as for the field "Input by" the default "=Environ$("User")" and this
worked fine whenever a different person logged on their name would appear and
I locked that field so it couldn't be changed. That was Access 97; now with
the conversion Access does recognize this and I'm wondering what I can do to
reestablish such a field. The database is split with the back end on the
lan. Any help would be appreciated.
