How can you change the default border color for a table?

When I go to Insert > Table on my main menu in PowerPoint, I cannot see the
table. The border line color seems to be in white. I have tried to change
the slide color scheme, yet it always reverts back to white. Any suggestions
would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Tables in PPT 97 - 2003 use the "text and lines" swatch (the second swatch)
from the color scheme. Is that the one you're changing? This changes the
border color.

This will also, of course, change your text color on your slide master and
in your table. So, go to the slide master, select the text placeholder, and
change the color to whatever you want the text color to actually be.

Use this master, which may have an odd color scheme to accommodate the table
border -- and maybe the table text, too -- when you create slides with
tables. Use your typical master with its color scheme for your other slides.
