Help! I'm new to mac and I have previously been able to edit a Clipart object by selecting the object and finding in the edit menu 'Edit Object'. Then a small Paintbrush application would open and I could edit the powerpoint object and change colours lines etc. Does this work with a mac? I have typed, edit clipart on every search engine I could find but none seem able to help me. thanks

I'm afraid you can't find reference to it because it isn't there - and most
software developers don't document what their software *doesn't* have :)

Because of the new graphics engine there is no editor in Office 2008. I
don't know if it's a budget issue, whether there wasn't time to resolve
compatibility before release or what, but 2008 simply doesn't have the
graphics editor included in 2007. I'm afraid you'll have to do your
alterations in a graphics app (or grab a copy of 2004 if you can find one),
then insert the edited pictures into your slides.

Hopefully the next major release will bring Office:Mac more in line with its
PC counterpart - I know that's a major goal of MacBU. In the mean while it
wouldn't hurt to use Help> Send Feedback to register your comments where
they'll carry the most weight. Enough demand may elevate the priority.
