How change the Shape of a picture without moving the content

I have few pictures and I want to give a shape of a diamond. How do I
change the shape/frame of a picture so it looks like a diamond shape and
picture itself adjust itself?

I would appreciate if someone please just me any software it does this. I
tried to use publisher and powerpoint 2003 but when I try to rotate, it
rotates the content of the picture as well. I want picture to stay straight
only change the frame/shape of the the picture to look like a diamond shape.

The following is for Word 2003 or earlier; the instructions are a
little different for Word 2007.

Display the Drawing toolbar. Click the AutoShapes button, choose Basic
Shapes, and click the diamond (right end of the first row). Drag the
mouse in the document to draw the diamond to the size you want.

Right-click the diamond and choose Format AutoShape. In the Fill
section of the dialog, click the down arrow next to the color
dropdown, and choose Fill Effects. In the next dialog, click the
Picture tab, click the Select Picture button, and choose the picture
you want. You probably should check the "Lock aspect ratio" box to
prevent stretching of the picture.

Click OK in both dialogs.

You can do this with any of the closed shapes in the AutoShape
gallery, so have fun!

What does this have to do with DirectX or VB? Are you really trying to accomplish this is Word, or is that one also an
inappropriate group?
I believe what you're looking for is an image manipulation application, for instance JASC Paint Shop Pro or the GIMP
however there are plenty of others around that will more than likely do what you want.
