how come clip art doesn't come up when I click on a category?

You have to put something in the Search For: field so it knows what to look
for. Then click Go or press enter. If that isn't what you need to know
please provide a more complete & accurate description of what you're doing
(in Word 2003 for example there is no "category" to click on), what the
problem is, as well as which version of Word you're using.

I put something in the search field but still nothing comes up.

....and you've still not provided any of the requested information or
volunteered enough detail for anyone to be of assistance. Nobody in the
group can see over your shoulder. All we can go by is what you tell us -
which up to this point is virtually nothing.
