Hi,
Helping out at the local animal shelter. Don't know much about
FrontPage but am finding my way around. I am trying to download the website
to a local computer from the web host. Every few minutes, I get a dialog
saying that I don't have permission to access/or download the website. it
prompts me for a id and password, I put in the same id and password as I
have for everything else and the download continues. Not too painful but I
wonder why this is happening. Is it because the host is slow and I have to
re-authenticate, or is it because different portions of the web site require
different permissions?
P.S. tried the same thing with Expression and get the same behavior Either
way, eventually the website downloads, I just want to know if there is a
way that I can prevent having to re-authenticate every 3 minutes.

thanks

Hi Swamp Yankee,

It sounds like an intermittent connection problem coming from your host.
Explain the situation to them and ask them to run a repair/reinstall of the
FrontPage extensions. If you have a control panel that allows you to do that
yourself..you might want to try it as well.
