how come none of my office xp programs will run?

Every time I try to open one of my office xp programs (word, excel, etc.) I
get a box that says microsoft office xp is configuration and to please insert
disk and click ok. I have all of these programs already installed on my
computer, so why won't they run? They did run fine until a few months ago.
I've tried everything I can think of to fix it.

It might help if you include your operating system, what might have changed
on your system since it worked right, such as patches or new software
updates, and what you have tried to fix it, so people don't recommend things
that you've already tried.
