If you want a faster download speed, then maybe you should wait a week or two for the traffic to slow down.
Here's an idea:
If you have more than 1 computer to update, download the update file(s) manually and burn them to a CD-R. Then
use the CD-R to update the other computer(s). Now you wouldn't need to use Microsoft Update or Office Update
site on each computer where it will download the same file(s) burned on the CD-R.
When you try to install Office 2003 Service Pack 2, you receive a "The upgrade patch cannot be installed by
the windows installer service" error message, or the Setup program may not be completed, and you do not
receive notification http://support.microsoft.com/kb/906323/
Unfortunately, Microsoft does not have any mirror that I am aware of where you could download these updates
from.
All I know about is their FTP site, but it does not have files found at the Microsoft Download Center
(http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/).
