how copy specific e-mail folder to a separate external hard drive

I need to copy a specific e-mail folder to a separate external hard drive to
send to a company for their documentation records of a specific project.

How is this accomplished. I do not want to "export" or copy the entire pst
file which includes all other personal and business records (contacts and
e-mail).

If the other party will accept an Outlook data file, within Outlook create a
new data file, copy your folder to this.
Close the data file. Then mail the resulting data file
