How deleted msgs appear in folders

I recently got a new computer and when I reloaded my email I have had to
format all of the folders again. I want my deleted messages to appear in my
email list with a "strikethough" when marked for deletion in all of my
folders. I cannot find how/where I adjust how the deleted msgs appear.
Right now I get a strike through in some folders, a small x in others, and
sometimes I can't even tell that I have marked a msg for deletion. Anyone
know how I fix this?

Strikethough is used for IMAP accounts to show that you have
delete-marked the message but that it has not yet been physically purged
from the mail server.

So did you define those e-mail accounts as IMAP types in Outlook?
