How did a split occurred?

Deluth

I just found that there was split on one of my task in my project. I don't recall when this happened because I didn't do it, but I also don't know how to remove it! The split is causing all kind of scheduling havoc for me, can someone help me to remove this split from the task? How I found the split was to put the mouse on the dotted line and it shows a split (the dotted line was a dead give away as well...) Thanks!

It can be caused deliberately during the task edit (RightMouseButton on the
bar and select split) or during leveling (having a checkmark in the box
"Leveling can create splits in remaining work).

Put your cursor on the left end of the rightmost bar segment. Press and
hold the LeftMouseButton and drag the segment back to the righthand end of
the immediately preceeding segment.

Hello Deluth, hello John,

Another way to do these splits is that one used by a lot of my students who
validate any entry with a savage right click of the mouse anywhere. Anywhere
is often on the Gantt Chart pane. And most of the time, they drift a little
....
Try it : it works well !
