How disassociate label from text box ???

I have a form with a label and text box. I want to delete
the text box and leave the caption but there appears to be
no way to do it. When I try it, it also deletes the label.

Select just the label then Cut it (Ctl-X) and Paste it back on to the form
(Ctl-V).

FWIW, to attach a label to a control you do the same thing but first select
the control then paste and the label will be attached to the selected
control.
