How do add SQL Reporting Services web part to Project Server WSSenvironment?

My goal is to be able to render a SQL Reporting Services report in a
WSS web part. However, when I edit one of my project workspace pages,
the SQL Reporting Services web part is not available to pick from.
It seems that the SQL Reporting Services Add-In for SharePoint must be
run in order to add the SQL Reporting Services web part to the pick
list. Is this correct and is this the executable I need to run?

Is this run from the SQL Server box where SQL Reporting Services is
running or from any box of mine that has WSS running?

By the way, I have MOSS as well as WSS installed in addition to
Project Server.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi Andy,

That is the correct download. You install it on the WSS server. You must
also configure the SQL Server Reporting services for Sharepoint integrated
mode, see this article for details:

Hope that helps,

Thanks. We have two virtual machines: Portfolio Server and Project
Server
WSS is running on both servers. I don't expect to utilize WSS for
reporting on the Portfolio Server, but would it be wise to go ahead
and install the add-in on both servers since both have WSS or just go
with the server that we'll be using for reporting? The reason I ask
is that at times when I install patches that pertain to WSS, Microsoft
says the "right" way is to apply the patch to every server that has
WSS. These are probably completely two different scenarios though.

I'm afraid I can't help you with Portfolio Server as we do not use it. That
said, my gut feeling while it should not matter if you install the reporting
services extension on both, I would only install it on the instances that you
plan on running reports on.
