How do I access a personal calendar that I can schedule events on?

I am a new user of Office Home ad Student 2007 installed with a Vista system.
Do I have access to a personal calendar where I can schedule events and get
reminders? Thanks

The Office 2007 calendar is part of Outlook 2007 which is not included in
the Home and Student edition. Vista does include a Windows Calendar where
you can schedule events. I do not recall if Windows Calendar includes
reminders. If it does, like Outlook you need to have it open to receive
reminders. Look under Start All Programs.

To add a bit to Don's answer, there are other calendar apps that'll give you
alerts. Ecco is a bit difficult to find these days and looks long-in-tooth but
is free and dead-reliable. It includes a calendar (with better, more
configurable alerts than any app I've yet seen), contact list management,
outliners and more. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ecco_Pro for starters.

Or use the free Google calendar, which can send email alerts (to your cel phone,
for example).
