How do I access the old Templates from Office 2000 in 2007?

I'd like to access and use the Templates that were in Office 2000-2003. I do
not have presentations with all of them included so I can't click on an old
presentation and ask 2007 to create the template. I'd like to be able to use
the old templates in the new Office 2007 template section. How do I do this?

Comment, I've found Office 2007 very difficult to use, particularly the
search functiion. It gives you online templates etc. but rarely answers the
question or points you to something in the desktop program. Am I alone in
this frustration?

Microsoft has template packs for download. There are links to those pages
here:

To get them into the gallery on the design tab in 2007, put POTX or THMX
files in this folder, and they'll show up in the design tab theme gallery:
C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates\Document Themes. This
is for Vista -- the path is probably a little different on Windows XP.

Bear in mind that the older templates were designed for use in older
versions of PPT, and they probably won't work exactly the same in 2007. I
know color schemes especially do some strange things. And personally, I
think the old templates are pretty tired compared to the new ones, but I
guess that's really neither here nor there....
