How do I activate Prof version Off 03 when computer came with Stan

My computer came with a 60 day trial of Office 2003 Standard - I could not
determine this so I purchased an upgrade for Office Professional 2003

Whe trying to convert from the trial version and activate the Professional
version my product key was refused

I paid several hundred dollars for the upgrade
Can someone please help me in activating the Professional version?

for a list of software that you can use as a qualifying product
to install your upgrade version of Office 2003. The Office 2003
60-day trial version is *not* a qualifying product.

If you do have a qualifying product that makes you eligible to
install the upgrade version of Office 2003 Professional, then
here is another possible solution:

You should uninstall the Office 2003 trial version before
installing the Office 2003 upgrade version. See
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=836178 "You receive an
'invalid product key' error message when you start an Office 2003
program after you install Office Professional Edition 2003". At
this point, I would suggest that you uninstall the upgrade
version, uninstall the trial version, and then install the
upgrade version.
