How do I add a attachment option to a template?

I have a template that I would like to add a attachment entry field for
files, etc. but am unsure how to add. Any assistance would be greatly
appreciated.

Sue,

I would like to add a "place" where the user of the template can attach a
file (and maybe a email? if possible) which would be supporting documentation.

Does this give you some insight?

Thanks!

I still don't know what you're looking for behind the existing Insert File
command that Outlook already has.

Is it possible to have a field label titled "attachement" along with a
textbox that will allow me to browse directories which I could attach files
and or emails? Where do I find the insert file command?

Thanks Sue!

The Insert File command is both on the standard (at least I think it's the
standard bar) toolbar and on the Insert menu.

The only thing you can put in a text box is text, i.e. the name of a file.
You can't put the file itself there.

Sue,

When I go into my template I do not have the insert file command (paperclip)
available to me and when I access the insert menu the options are item and
signature but they are not highlighted and therefore are not available to
use.
I have also tried to add the insert item command on my toolbar but when I do
it adds but also is not available to me. (i.e. not highlighted)

Any suggestions?

Thanks again!

Did you remove the main message body control from your form? That must be
present in order for users to add attachments. Drag the Message or Notes
field from the Field Chooser to your form and you should see the attach
functionality restored.

Sue,

You are awsome! Thanks a bunch. Have been pulling my hair out on this one.

Thanks again!
