What do you mean "add a folder and it's content to a webpage"?

I have a directory of music I need to build into a webpage. Its a large
folder and I need to display it in html format. The folder is called music in
my frontpage dir. How do I add its contents to an html file?

I'm not sure exactly what you are saying, but;

Open FP
File | Open Site to open your local web site.
Then
File | Import ....and import the entire folder into your web.

That would get your folder and all it's contents into your FP web site.

I'm not being clear. It's already IN frontpage. I need to create and HTML
index or something like that. I need the contents of that folder published on
an html page.

Is that clear???

Thanks

Mike

I'm assuming that by saying you want the contents of the folder displayed in
the page that you mean links to the individual files. You'll have to do this
yourself by hand. It used to be that if a default page was not present in a
directory, then the web server would automatically show all the files and
folders in that directory as links. Now, this is a big no-no because it
allows people to browse around and snoop into things they shouldn't be
snooping at (like the directory or file that the site owner thought was
hidden). As to what the default page should be named that will include the
folder contents, it all depends upon the type of web server. index.html
would be appropriate for a Unix/Linux server, where default.htm or index.htm
for Windows servers.

Hope this helps,
