How do I add a Hyperlink field from a table to a data access page

I've created a data access page using the wizard. The table has a column
that is a hyperlink type. When the data access page is displayed the field
for the hyperlink is displayed as a text box with the name of the report
shown, not a hyperlink. Help says "In a data access page the text box in
which you enter a hyperlink address displays the hyperlink address as a text
string, not as a formatted hyperlink. The formatted address can be found in
the Hyperlink property of the text box. " I cannot find the Hyperlink
property of the text box.
I tried adding a hyperlink control and associated it with the column in the
table. The link appears when the data access page is run, but when I click
the link the report does not display.
