How do I add a SaveDate field to a PowerPoint footer?

R

Reggie

Within a Word footer, I can Insert | Field and select SaveDate to cause the
last saved date to automatically appear in the footer of the document.

The PowerPoint menu does not have the Field option under the Insert menu and
I don't see a way to have the same functionality available in Word.

PowerPoint doesn't have fields like Word has. In the slide footer you can
display the current system date, but a week from now when you open the file the
date will be 3/1/05, even though you haven't saved the file.
