Aloha Jene,

You can't add the accent over the e, exactly. What you need to do is use
the predefined character for that. There are a couple of ways to do it,
but one is to go to Start | Programs | Accessories | System Tools. Open
the Character Map. Find the character you want click Select, then Copy to
place it on the clipboard. Then you can paste it into your message. Like
so: é

My preferred method is to use the numeric keypad by firstly holding down the
'Alt' key, typing 0233, then releasing the 'Alt' key.

Here's what I do: It's a little involved, but works fairly quickly

Go to MSWord and type in the word I need - when I want to type the é I do
the following:

Hold CTRL and ' (apostrophe)
Type the letter 'e'
It outputs é
Copy and paste the word into outlook.

It's klugey, but works.

Hello,

I'm not sure which kind of accent you are talking about here (I don't
understand what pointing to the right means... exactly), but the thing that
I use is hold down the Alt key and type in 0232 (keep the key pressed down
and use the numpad) this gives you the è sign and if you hold it down and
press down the Alt key and type in 0233 you get the é sign.
