How do I add contacts to contacts gadget on Vista Windows Taskbar

I want to add the gadget to my Windows Vista Home Basic Taskbar that is
labeled "Contacts", but cannot figure out how to add and or edit the contacts
to it.
Are the contacts taken automatically from my Outlook contact listing, or do
I have
to manually add them to the gadget? Just want to find phone #s, email
addresses, etc. easily from the Taskbar, if possible.

AFAIK, they are just a view of your default contacts folder. Any editing would probably need to be done in your OUtlook contacts folder, but I don't use that gadget on the one machine that has VIsta on it.
