how do I add google analytics code to my web pages?

K

I'm trying to use google analytics with my frontpage site. Googles
instructions are to add the code right before the </body> tag. On my
template.dwt, I created an "editable region" right before the closing body
tag, and inserted the analytics code there.

I keep getting an error message saying something (the code) on the web page
couldn't be parsed, and the code is not showing up when I check in "View
Source"

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thank you

Any thing placed in an editable region on a DWT may not get onto the page
the DWT is attached to, especially if there is already something in that
region on the page.
If the code does not have to be changed on a page by page basis, then don't
place it in an editable region.
