Only if you make a redirector for it. If you are a developer, you can read

There is example code for developers that makes a custom research service
that accesses Google (you need to request a personal access key from Google,
which is why this is not just a tool anyone can install). I don't know of
anything for non-developers.

Of course, MSN search is free and works in the research pane...
