How do I add macrons to maori words

I have Office 2003 and it automatically adds a macron to the a in Maori
words. How do I get it to the same to the other vowels. I need a 'dash'
macron, not two dots.

Have a good look at Insert > Symbol. Aa are at character 0100 and 0101
respectively.

Thanks, but I needed an add-in that lets me do this fast. I found one this
morning by typing in'Maori' on the download search. Maybe that will hepl
others. It allows you to use the tilde key for macrons over vowels. Good
stuff.

You could equally well do this with shortcut keys in Word. You could program
Ctrl+~, a to give you an a with macron, Ctrl+~, A to give you A with macron,
and so on.
