How do I add multiple Resource Name Columns to one task

I am attempting to use MS Project as resource traceability tool. So I have
one task and then subsequent fields for a Dev 1 Resource and Dev 2 Resource
followed by their durations. The problem is that there is only one category
for Resource Names and it would seem that when I assign one resource that the
second resource name field will auto populate with that name as well. What I
need to know is there a way to add a Resource Names 1 or Resource Names 2
column like the way it works if you have multiple durations that you can add
to one task. I know I can you use the text field but I would like to have the
functionality that the Resource Names column provides such as a resource drop
down as well as the resource useage capabilities. Any help here would be
appreciated. Thanks

Hi Stephen,

Insofar I understand you request: no, sorry, resource names is a plural and
by definition it shows the resource nameS.
OBTW, you cannot have "multiple durations" on a task either...
