How do I add people and Groups Using Active Directory

Someone else installed our Project server 2007 and I do not think they
synchronized the users through Active Directory. Could someone please show
me how to do this? I am new to MS Project and we really need to get this
working properly. When I look in Office Project Web Access, there are some
users, but I believe they were entered manually and not synchronized with AD.
If someone could help me, I would greatly appreciate it.
