Go to the shortcuts section in outlook.
If you have the screen maximized, change the size so it's smaller and
you can see other windows or the desktop behind it.
From the My Computer icon, locate the folder or file you wish to
include to Outlook shortcutes.
Drag the folder or file to the "Shortcuts" heading in Outlook.
But that doesn't buy much, since it doesn't work in any way like the file
system shortcuts used to work in the Outlook bar, You can't drag messages
to it, for example. All it does is give you a place to click to open the
folder, no different than having a shortcut on your Desktop. In fact, a
shortcut on the desktop is better because you CAN drag messages to it there.
